Tasting Notes
A delicate pure Semillon with enticing lemon blossom fragrance, fresh lemon juice and lemon grass. The palate delivers a big burst of flavour, with bottle development and complexity of lemon cream. Perfect balance of fruit, alcohol and acid. An impressive Semillon from a year that will reward early drinking or cellaring.
Ratings
96/100 Australian Wine Companion 95/100 The Real Review Huon Hooke - 'Bright, full yellow colour and a rich, lemon butter and lightly browned toast aromas, with lively acidity and a tight, restrained palate of real finesse. The finish is clean and long, dry and powerful. A fuller style, kept on the rails by its lively acidity.' 24 Jun 2015

Vineyard Notes
Our Semillon is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil at Pokolbin in the Lower Hunter Valley.– the vines, planted in 1985 – consistently producing the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Semillon.
Production Notes
The Semillon grapes have been whole- bunch pressed to minimize phenolics and then put to stainless-steel tank to begin fermentation, the juice is fermented to 2g/l residual sugar. The wine in vat is left on lees for 3 weeks to build texture and complexity into the finished wine. This wine sees no oak or maturation.
Winemaker Notes
Bottled early to retain freshness and vitality of the primary fruit
