Tasting Notes
This year the Dwyer Rosé has been crafted from a blend of hand harvested estate Merlot and Shiraz. With a blush pink hue and aromatic red cherry and raspberry fruits, the palate is lively with attractive Turkish delight and manuka honey flavours finished with a dusting of spice on a crisp, dry finish.
Vineyard Notes
McLeish Estate started harvesting the Merlot on the 16th & 28th of February, followed by the Shiraz harvest on the 2nd of March. After a mild start to season the more favourable conditions prevailed with long warmer days towards the end of January. The exceptional quality fruit is reflected in the delicately balanced Merlot and Shiraz as the base of the textural Dwyer Rosé.
Production Notes
Blend of 66% Shiraz and 34% Merlot. Both Varietals were hand harvested from the estate vineyards, put through a light crush, then macerated for 6 hours to give the wine its signature hue.
