Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
This wine displays great depth of flavour, with ripe, red cherry, red plum and sweet strawberry aromas. With seamless integration of fruit and plush tannins on the palate. The finish is complimented by the spicy complexity of the French oak.
Vineyard Notes
The estate single vineyard was planted in 1985, the site composition is red duplex clay and sandy loam soils. The fruit is hand harvested with sorting completed in the vineyard each year.
Production Notes
The hand harvested fruit from the estate Merlot vineyard was cold-soaked and then fermented on skins. The wine was then matured for 10 months exclusively in premium French oak After bottling, the wine rested in our climate-controlled cellar prior to release.
