Vineyard Notes
In 1985 Bob and Maryanne McLeish planted out 1.75ha of Semillon named block 2 and block 4. The vineyard is hand harvest, fruit is sorted and allocated based on quality. The Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Orange NSW, where the vines enjoy some two degrees cooler daytime temperatures and even cooler nights than the Vale itself. The Sauvignon Blanc is the only varietal sourced from outside of the Hunter Valley.
Production Notes
Each varietal is fermented to dryness separately before being blended. The blend is Semillon 50% and Sauvignon Blanc 50%
