Vineyard Notes
McLeish Estate vineyards are in Australia’s oldest wine growing region; the Hunter Valley, planted in 1985. Our Chardonnay is hand harvested from vines grown in friable red duplex loam soil– Fruit thinning was carried out on the single vineyard to consistently producing the purest and brightest signatures of Hunter Chardonnay.
Production Notes
McLeish Estate started harvesting the Chardonnay on the 7th of February.
The optimal conditions prevailed with long warmer days, the Vintage conditions throughout the white harvest continued to be warm leading to excellent ripeness and primary fruit characters. This Chardonnay has been matured in a series of French oak barriques for five months prior to bottling
